NebraskaвЂ™s largest EMS transport company, Midwest Medical Transport Co, signed on for an EC135 P2e. Starting as Washington Construction Company in 1964 with a loan and a leased bulldozer, it has now grown into a major corporation with a group of individual, privately held companies located across the U.S. The Washington Companies of Missoula, Montana, will add a Eurocopter EC135 T2e helicopter to its fleet.

The EC135 has established itself as one of the premier helicopters in the U.S. The order, along with three others placed in December, is part of an agreement with Med-Trans announced in September that included 10 firm orders and six options. Med-Trans Corporation, a leading provider of air medical transport services, has ordered its 14th EC135 helicopter in the last six months. The new EC135 P3 helicopters will be delivered beginning in mid-2014. Air Methods already operates more than 330 Eurocopter helicopters, comprising about 80 percent of its fleet. Air Methods, based in Englewood, Colo., continues to equip its fleet with new aircraft incorporating the latest in safety and technology improvements. The new aircraft will improve and expand Memorial MedFlightвЂ™s patient care capability by increasing the programвЂ™s range and service area, allowing it to better serve the critical care transport needs of northern Indiana and southern Michigan.ДЄir Methods, launch customer for the EC135 T3/P3 present on the booth, ordered 6 of the P3 version.
